Agios Pharmaceuticals Expands in Cambridge

Agios Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: AGIO) will expand its footprint in Cambridge, MA after agreeing to a lease for 27,100 square feet of office and laboratory space at The Richards Building at 64 Sidney St.
The Richards Building was constructed in 1990 as part of University Park at MIT, a bio-tech/lab and high-tech business campus developed by Forest City Development on 27 acres owned by MIT. The Class A property measures 126,065 square feet over five stories, and is anchored by Voyager Therapeutics.
Agios signed a seven-year lease with two five-year extension options on a deal that is expected to commence in February 2018.
In addition to the expansion, Agios has agreed to extend its headquarters space at 88 Sidney St., which was originally scheduled to expire on April 14, 2022, to align with the company’s newly signed deal.
